The term Vinyasa is derived from the Sanskrit words nyasa, meaning to place, and vi, meaning in a special way. Commonly called “Flow Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga connects one asana or posture to the next using breath. The transitions between postures are initiated with intentional Ujjayi breath, allowing the practitioner to move in a graceful, connected way, bringing consciousness to each movement in each moment, and leading to inner peace.
